Square Home is an Android launcher inspired by Microsoft’s Metro UI
Now, this launcher is actually inspired by the Metro UI of Windows 10, not Window Phone, like many others. The moment you check out the images in the gallery below, you’ll understand what that means. You’ll get a ton of square windows on your home screen, which are customizable, of course. You can set them up any way you want, and it will definitely spice up your setup. Live Tiles are a part of the experience, and the same goes for Widgets. You can, for example, combine your music player and weather widgets with a ton of Live Tiles. You can scroll vertically across your main page, and place as many widgets and Live Tiles as you want. It’s also possible to scroll horizontally, between different pages. This app actually does look like it’s suited well for tablets as well, and it comes with a tablet mode too.
The so-called “Smart app drawer” is also a part of the package
Square Home does come with a “Smart app drawer” too, which does its best to sort your apps. There is quick access to your contacts, and a ton of additional customization that you can delve into. This app does bring a different approach to Android, that’s for sure. If you loved Microsoft’s Metro UI, or Windows Phone for that matter, chances are you’ll enjoy this launcher very much. There are in-app purchases included here, but the app is free to download and use. You may not have access to everything, but you can try it out and see if it’s worth paying up for all features. You’ll find some official images in the gallery below, and if you’d like to try out this app, the download link is also available below. Square Home (Google Play Store)
