A lot has already been spilled about the upcoming Galaxy S22 series phones. Right from the design, the specifications, and some key software enhancements are already out in the open about the upcoming Galaxy S22 series phones. Samsung is also set to bring back the S-Pen on its device with the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Along with this, the company is also set to bring back 45W fast charging support with the Galaxy S22 series. Note that the Galaxy S21 lineup comes with 25W fast charging support. For those who don’t know, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ was the first device from the company to come with 45W fast charging support. However, the charging speed was not significantly faster when compared to the company’s regular 25W charger. Thankfully, 45W fast charging support is making a return with the upcoming Galaxy S22 lineup. At least that’s what the available information confirms. Additionally, the company has also improved the 45W fast charger’s charging speed as well. Leaker Roland Quandt has published an image of the 45W fast charger’s box. The image gives us a look at the charger along with a peek into its specifications.
The 45W charger is rumored to charge the Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra from 0 to 70% in 30 minutes
The leaked image shows the 45W fast charger carries model number EP-T4510. According to previous rumors, this 45W fast charger, model number EP-T4510, could charge the upcoming Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra devices from 0 to 70% in just 30 minutes. There is no official information available about this charging speed. So, we would advise our readers to take this piece of information with a grain of salt. Moreover, the leaked image shows the charger in black color. The charger box includes a Type-C to USB Type-C cable, which would be 1.8m long. As noted by SamMobile, the charger is expected to work on the USB PD 3.0 protocol with Programmable Power Supply (PPS). Well, this is a welcome change from Samsung because competitors have left it way behind, at least when it comes to fast charging support for their devices. Even budget smartphones are coming with super-fast charging support, with some of them offering support up to 120W. Besides, most Chinese OEMs bundle their proprietary chargers inside the box with their phones. After Apple, Samsung was among the first brands to ship smartphones with a charger inside the box.
