The Galaxy Z Fold 3 features extremely powerful specifications
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is quite powerful, needless to say. Before we get down to the specs, let’s just say that it’s made out of metal and glass, and that it does resemble its predecessor quite a bit. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 888, one of two Qualcomm’s most powerful processors at the moment. In addition to that, the phone does boast 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB / 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The amount of RAM and storage may vary from one market to the next.
There are two displays included here, one of which has an under-display camera
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 features two displays. Its main, foldable display measures 7.6 inches, and it offers a resolution of 2208 x 1768 pixels. That comes down to 374 ppi. That panel is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus, Corning’s latest protection. This is a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, by the way, and it does offer a 120Hz refresh rate. On the outside, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has a secondary panel, which becomes the main display once the phone is folded. That panel measures 6.2 inches, and it’s a fullHD+ (2260 x 832) Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung’s new foldable flagship offers five cameras overall
There are three cameras on the back of this phone. All of them utilize 12-megapixel sensors. The main 12-megapixel camera (f/1.8 aperture, 78-degree FoV, 1.4um pixel size, OIS, 2PD) is a wide-angle one, and it’s backed by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 123-degree FoV, 1.12um pixel size, FF). The last camera on the back is a 12-megapixel telephoto one (f/2.4 aperture, 1.0um pixel size, OIS). Regarding front-facing cameras, there are two of them. A 4-megapixel one (f/1.8 aperture, 2.0um pixel size) sits under the main display. A 10-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.2 aperture, 1.22um pixel size) is included on the secondary display, but it’s not an under-display unit. The secondary display does have a punch hole. A 4,400mAh battery is included here, and it does support both wired fast charging, and wireless charging. Android 11 comes pre-installed on the device, while you’ll find Samsung’s One UI 3.1 skin on top of it.
Stereo speakers are here with Dolby Atmos support
The phone does come with a set of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, while it does support face scanning via its front-facing cameras. IPX8 certification is also included, just to give you some peace of mind when it comes to rain, sweat, and so on. Needless to say, the phone does support 5G connectivity, and it comes with Bluetooth 5.0. It does have two nano SIM slots, and an eSIM slot. The phone measures 158.2 x 128.1 x 6.4mm when it’s open. When it’s closed, it measures 158.2 x 67.1 x 14.4mm. It weighs 271 grams, and comes in three color options. Those colors are Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver.
