Nothing did tease a big announcement for this week, but it’s not exactly what you think
We don’t have any proof, nor an inside tip, but it’s safe to assume. Why? Well, the company still didn’t announce the Nothing Phone (1)’s launch date. We do know it’s coming in the Summer, but we don’t know when exactly. It’s highly unlikely Nothing will launch this phone without giving us the launch date first. We’ll likely get a launch date this week, followed by several teasers, and then the launch will follow. Now, Nothing did confirm some information about this device already. The Nothing Phone (1) will feature a recycled aluminum mid-frame, and a transparent back. It will also support wireless charging, and be fueled by a Snapdragon SoC.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will likely fuel the Nothing Phone (1)
We still don’t know what SoC will be used, but the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 has been tipped, and it makes sense. This phone is said to cost around €500, and it’ll likely be more of a mid-range offering. Nothing also confirmed that the device will have “no chin”, which probably means we’ll get uniform bezels. Back on May 30, Nothing also said that the announcement date is “coming (very) soon”. That is another clue that we’ll get a launch date this week, not the launch itself. A tipster said recently, that the phone will feature a 6.55-inch OLED display. That will be a fullHD+ display, and it will be flat. A 90Hz refresh rate is expected on the device.
