Microsoft Teams is the company’s video conference platform, and it’s been getting a steady stream of updates over the past couple of years. Companies are still forced to remain remote, so any updates are welcome.
Microsoft Teams will let you attend multiple meetings at the same time
Other video conference platforms are focusing on bringing more features as well, but this takes the cake. Microsoft is working on a “pop-out” feature for Teams. From the way the company describes this feature, it will let you put a meeting in PiP (Picture in Picture) mode. This, in and of itself, will let you better multitask. You can pop out the video feed and perform other tasks within the same window. However, the official Microsoft 365 Roadmap page says that you’ll be able to put a meeting in PiP mode while you’re creating another meeting. This means that you’ll be able to attend multiple Microsoft Teams meetings at the same time. You won’t only be able to view more than one meeting, but you’ll be able to monitor the chat in them. The company didn’t say if there are any limitations to how many meetings you’ll be able to attend. We don’t expect there to be many. Realistically, how many meetings would you need to attend in one sitting? At the moment, this feature is still in development, so we don’t know the exact date it will reach the public. However, on the page, it says that the feature will launch sometime in October. The first of October is only in a couple of days, so there won’t be too much time to wait for this feature.
