With this new lineup of devices, Lenovo is focusing on “elevated design and sustainability.” Though not necessarily both of those things on all three laptops. While the Lenovo Yoga 7i and Yoga 9i carry the elevated design, it’s the Yoga 6 which takes a big approach to sustainability using recycled materials to achieve its eco-friendly build. if being eco-friendly is something that matters to you and you aren’t too particular about specs, the Yoga 6 may be right up your alley.
If you’re looking for premium, look no further than the Lenovo Yoga 9i
One thing to keep in mind here is that just because these are premium, that doesn’t make them extremely powerful beasts. Lenovo isn’t targeting the gaming crowd here. Nor is it targeting the users that need super powerful hardware for content creation, video editing and the like. But on the flipside not having those things doesn’t mean they can’t be premium. With the Yoga 9i you’re getting specs like a 4K OLED IPS touchscreen display, Dolby Vision HDR, a smart power performance mode and more. Lenovo also says that it increased the size of the touch pad by 45%. While also providing an edge-to-edge keyboard. Speaking of the keyboard, is also has smart backlighting that can adjust the brightness automatically based on ambient light. So it’s always at the right brightness for the occasion. Which should help with the laptop’s battery life. It’s also sporting a 14-inch panel, a 360-degree hinge, and Dolby Atmos support for more immersive sound. When it comes to the Yoga 7i, it offers 14-inch and 16-inch panels but dumps the resolution down to 2.8K. It does still use an OLED touch panel though. Dolby Atmos support is present as is the 360-degree hinge. In fact all three new Yoga models carry this hinge and a similar design. What sets them apart in terms of looks is the size and color. With the Yoga 6 being the smallest at 13-inches, coming in Dark Teal. In terms of pricing and availability, the Yoga 9i will start at $1,399 and it launches in Q2. The Yoga 7i starts at $849 for the 16-inch model and $949 for the 14-inch model and will become available in Q2 as well. Meanwhile the Yoga 6 will become available around the same time (Q2), at a starting price of $749. Making this the better option for those shopping on more of a budget.
