Samsung is pricing the Galaxy Z Flip 4 at $999 in the US. That matches the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 that was released last year. And puts it right in line with virtually every other flagship on the market today, and might even be cheaper than the iPhone 14 Pro when that is announced next month. For the $999 price, you are getting the same 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as you did with the Galaxy Z Flip 4. So they didn’t undercut anything here to hit this price. Which is impressive, since there is still a global chip shortage, and inflation is up over 10%, at a 40-year high right now.
Are there other storage configurations available?
Samsung will offer the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in a 256GB configuration as well. That is expected to cost $1,099. Which is quite the premium for double the storage, but pretty much the industry standard right now. Other specs for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 include the same 6.7-inch FHD+ display here, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor inside, and a 3700mAh capacity battery. That’s about a 8% larger battery compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 3, and it is sorely needed. As one of the big issues with the Flip has always been battery life. It may not be perfect, or up to snuff with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but it should be better compared to the Flip 3. So there’s that. Samsung also upgraded the cameras on the Galaxy Z Flip 4, though it still has two 12-megapixel cameras. There’s a 12-megapixel main sensor and a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor. These use larger pixels, and they are brighter lenses compared to the Flip 3.
