A well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station, shared some of the phone’s specs via Weibo. The HONOR Magic V was confirmed earlier to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. That indicated that we’re looking at a high-end device, as that is Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC.
HONOR’s first foldable smartphone will offer quite powerful specs
That being said, the tipster had something to add to that. He said that the internal display will offer a 120Hz refresh rate, while the outer panel will have a 90Hz refresh rate. That is is great to see, as neither will be 60Hz. The tipster also said that the phone’s main camera will be a 50-megapixel one. We still don’t know what sensor will HONOR use, though. We don’t know what battery capacity to expect, but you’ll be able to quickly recharge it thanks to 66W fast wired charging. We’re not sure if the phone will offer wireless charging, but it will offer immensely fast wired charging. Android 12 will come pre-installed on the device, with HONOR’s skin, and Google’s services, of course. The tipster also said that both displays will include a display camera hole. The main one will include it in the top-right corner, while it will be centered on the outer display.
This phone is coming to compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 3
The HONOR Magic V will be made out of metal and glass, almost certainly, even though that hasn’t been confirmed yet. This phone is coming to compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 3, and chances are it will be similar in terms of size. HONOR indirectly confirmed that the Magic V will be notably larger than the OPPO Find N, for better or worse. This smartphone is coming in the near future, by the way. It will become official in Q1 2022, and it’s possible HONOR will showcase it during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
