All three OnePlus 8 series smartphones are now getting Android 13
At the time of writing this article, OnePlus still didn’t officially announce the update is rolling out. Users have started reporting that they’re getting the update, though. Those users were not a part of the beta testing program. This is a stable build we’re talking about. This new software version is marked with ‘F.13’, and that goes for all three phones. The OnePlus 8 is getting the IN2015_11_F.13 update globally, the OnePlus 8 Pro IN2025_11_F.13, and the OnePlus 8T KB2005_11_F.13. Indian variants are also getting the update, by the way. All the Android 13 features that Google announce are included, well, those that are not Pixel-exclusive, of course. OnePlus also added a number of its own features on top of it.
Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 brings the Aquarmorphic Design, and much more
Android 13 with OxygenOS 13 is coming with the Aquamorphic Design which is in use on both ColorOS and OxygenOS. This brings new animations, “real-world physical motions”, and a new Quantum Animation Engine 4.0. A new Always-On Display is also included. It shows live information about music, food delivery apps, ride-hailing, and more. You’ll also be getting an optimized OnePlus Shelf as part of this update, better earphone connectivity, and so on. OnePlus also decided to add the Kid Space in this update, and an Eye comfort mode. On top of all that, the HyperBoost GPA 4.0 is here, and it should “stabilize the frame rate and balance the performance and power consumption in key scenarios” for when you’re gaming. As is usually the case with Android updates, this one is rolling out in stages. You may get it today, or you may have to wait for a bit, maybe even up to a week or two, it all depends.
