The Doogee S98 will launch on March 28 with a 1.1-inch secondary display
The secondary display is located on the back of this phone. It is a 1.1-inch panel, so it’s not exactly big, but it can be useful for notifications, time, weather, and various other things. It is also customizable.
Doogee provided us with some customization examples. You will be able to change the background picture on that display, and also use different colors for theming purposes. You’ll be able to control music playback, check the battery, and your notifications. The company even provided us with a short video showing off what this rear display can do. That video is embedded down below, and will give you a great look at this panel. Now, next to that display, you’ll find three cameras. A 64-megapixel main camera is backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 20-megapixel ‘Night Vision’ camera is also included on the back. Doogee says that the ‘Night Vision’ camera will do great even in pitch-black environments. The company even included two infrared lights on the side.
A 6,000mAh battery sits inside the phone, while 33W charging is supported
The MediaTek Helio G96 fuels this smartphone, while you’ll also find 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage here. A 6,000mAh battery is a part of the package, and it supports 33W wired charging. 15W wireless charging is also supported by the Doogee S98.
A 6.3-inch fullHD+ display is featured on the front, and it’s protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass. Android 12 comes pre-installed, while an NFC chip is also included. The phone also has a custom button on the side, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The Doogee S98 is IP68 and IP69K certified, and it also passed the MIL-STD-810G certification. So not only is it water and dust resistant, but it can take a hit as well. It’s ideal to use in extreme weather conditions too.
You can get a considerable discount if you buy it fast enough
Doogee says that it will sell the Doogee S98 at a discounted price of $239 between March 28 and April 1. This discounted price tag will be available via AliExpress, it seems, at least that’s what Doogee mentioned. After April 1, the price tag will revert to $339.
