The Galaxy S23 won’t include an under-display camera, it seems
It seems like the entire Galaxy S23 series will once again utilize a hole punch. The tipster actually got information from South Korean parts makers, and everything points out to a hole punch. Some people would certainly prefer an under-display camera, despite its shortcomings. Others would like to put up with a hole punch, if that means that they’ll get better selfies. Either way, Samsung seems to have opted for the latter. Now, we may not get an under-display camera arrangement on the Galaxy S23 series, but the S23 and S23+ are tipped to get upgraded selfie cameras. Samsung has been using the same 10-megapixel camera for years, but that will change this time around. Both devices are rumored to include a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. We’re not sure about the Galaxy S23 Ultra, though. The Galaxy S22 Ultra shipped with a 40-megapixel selfie camera, so it separated itself from its siblings.
The Galaxy S23 series is kind of a mystery at this point
We don’t know much about the Galaxy S23 series at this point. We’re still a long time away from the launch event, about half a year. We’ve seen rumors here and there, but not a lot of information surfaced. We don’t even know what will the devices look like. Samsung may stick with the current design, as it has been praised quite a bit. On the flip side, it may look to change things around after a couple of years, especially when it comes to vanilla and ‘plus’ models. Before the Galaxy S23 arrives, in the first quarter of next year, Samsung has some foldable devices to show us. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are expected to arrive in August. A lot of information appeared thus far.
