Now, as a gamer, is the free monitor going to be worth going for one of Samsung’s new Galaxy Book 2 laptops? That all depends on you. The right laptop is essential to the gaming experience if you want something powerful. And even then, none of that may matter if the monitor isn’t exactly what you’re looking for. So here’s the breakdown if you’re planning to upgrade your laptop or pick one up for the first time. There are three models of laptops that qualify for this gift. And there are two different monitor options that Samsung is giving away.
You can get a free Samsung gaming monitor when you buy a Galaxy Book 2
To get the monitor, Samsung requires that consumers buy one of three laptops. This can either be the Galaxy Book 2 360, the Galaxy Book 2 Pro, or the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360. Pick up any of those and the free monitor is yours. As for the monitors, you will either get the 24-inch CRG5 gaming monitor, or the 32-inch Odyssey G35T gaming monitor. And which one you get depends on which laptop you buy. The entry-level Galaxy Book 2 360 comes with the smaller monitor. That could be a blessing or a curse depending on your monitor size preference. If you buy either of the Pro models, you will get the Odyssey G35T. It’s worth keeping in mind that the Odyssey G35T comes with a higher refresh rate at 165Hz. So you may want to go for one of the Galaxy Book 2 Pro options. You also want to consider that all three laptop models come with Intel Iris integrated graphics. As opposed to a discrete graphics card from NVIDIA. So whichever model you go with, you’re not going to be cranking your graphics up all the way. With that said, if graphics quality isn’t your main concern, you can save up to a few hundred dollars on a gaming monitor for times when you want to use the laptop for gaming at home. Lastly, this is a pre-order bonus. So the deal likely won’t stick around after the laptop fully launches. Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro
